Totally Random

So I thought I’d blog tonight before going off to bed.  I got the card out of the camera, stuck it in the card reader, and found that I really hadn’t taken that many pictures since I last posted.  So this is my totally random post with the few pictures that haven’t been posted from the camera.

{First, some pictures of Jaylie}

I took these pictures on Sunday for two reasons.  First, because Jaylie’s Aunt Kristen gave her this so cute dress, I think for Christmas last year.  Anyway I have been waiting for forever for her to be able to wear it.  So she wore it to church on Sunday!  She originally had on nice white tights, but so they didn’t get ruined, after church we swapped them for these kinda crazy leggings!

Second reason I took these pictures.  My mom had been to visit for the weekend, so Jaylie’s carseat was in her car.  When she left we just brought it into our apartment.  Jaylie loved to sit in it like it was her own chair.  She climbed in and out of it for quite some time after church!  I think Santa might be looking for some sort of cute little Jaylie sized chair for Christmas!

We tried to get a good picture without the binky . . but Jaylie was more interested in wiggling all over.  I guess we did alright though.

{Some really random pictures}

I teach music on the stage at school, it has been an interesting experience because there is P.E. going on right behind us.  But I am loving it nonetheless.  And I have this great hallway with lots of wall space to do with whatever I please.  So in October our Master of the Month, was Edvard Grieg, who composed the song In the Hall of the Mountain King.  So I decorated our hall like the Hall of the Mountain King!  It was pretty awesome, so I took some pictures of it.

The kids loved the Mountain King troll.  Several swear that he almost bit their fingers off!

{And to end on a cuter note}

Aunties Come To Visit

On Saturday we had three very special visitors!  Jaylie’s Aunt Diane, Lori, and Kristen came to visit.  We were even so lucky to have Diane and Kristen stay the night with us.  Jaylie loved having all the extra attention, and seemed to warm up to the pretty quick.

Lori, Kristen, Jaylie, and Diane (sorry about the hair in the face, it was the only picture I took!).

It was wonderful to have Fackrell Family visitors!  We miss having some of them live so far away.  And we missed not having Aunt Kelsey to complete the Aunts!  And we missed Jaylie’s Uncles and Grandparents too!

Halloween 2009

We had quite the eventful Halloween this year.  On Friday night we went to the MASA Halloween Carnival.  Jaylie and I got dressed up in our costumes and we all enjoyed caramel apples, popcorn, and root beer.  Don’t tell, but even Jaylie got a taste of some of the root beer, she wasn’t quite sure about the carbonation, but wanted more so I guess she liked it.

On Saturday we had some special visitors, Aunt Diane, Kristen, and Lori came to Logan.  We took Jaylie to her first Marching Band Competition during the afternoon.  Lori is doing her student teaching at Highland High School, in Pocatello, and their marching band came down to a competition at USU.  She also brought with her Diane and Kristen!  Jaylie had fun at the competition, she was a little nervous about the loud people, but realized how fun marching band is.  Quite the debate has been stirred up as to which section of the band she will be joining!

That night we got Jaylie dressed up in her costume and did some trick-or-treating.  We ended up going to our upstairs neighbors, our bishop’s house, and the mall.  Afterwards we came back our apartment ate some pizza, took a bath, watched a movie, and went to bed!

She’s got her bag and she’s ready to go!

Trick-or-treat!

And then she walked right in and helped herself!

252_0644

She was so excited about her suckers!

Yummy pizza after all that hard work!

Jaylie’s tutu, antennae, wings, and bag, minus her.

Whew!  I fell like we really got some good use out of that costume!  Sorry, if you got sick of pictures of Jaylie in her ladybug costume!  Hope everyone had a happy safe Halloween!

Snow!

252_0626

Last year I used to get all excited about things being Jaylie’s “first time” for everything!  I realize now that there is a first time, and then there is a real first time when they are actually aware of what is going on.  So this was Jaylie’s real first time out in the snow.  She was completely fascinated with the stuff falling from the sky and was befuddled as to why Dad was throwing it at Mom.

Pumpkin Walk

For FHE last week we went with some friends to North Logan’s annual Pumpkin Walk.  The jist of this activity.  Ride a hot crowded school bus to Elk Ridge Park, stand in a very long line to get into Pumpkin Walk, walk around looking at little scenes made out of pumpkins, skip last half of the Pumpkin Walk because of screaming child, ride less crowded bus back to car, go home and have some nice warm hot chocolate with lots of whip cream.  Ok, so it really was a fun activity, and it was free, so how bad was it really.

Jaylie wore her cute warm coat, although it seemed to have an amnesia like effect.  It was like she had forgotten how to walk.  But she and Jon had lots of fun rolling around in the leaves while we waited in line to get in.

Rolling down the hill.

Happy families!

252_0621

They had a little Star Wars scene, I took this picture for Tanner.  I thought they were so cute!  (Notice I used they because I don’t know all their names!  I have never even seen the old Star Wars movies.  Please, don’t judge me.)

252_0622

My favorite was this Where The Wild Things Are, pumpkin scene.  On a completely unrelated Pumpkin Walk note, I hope someday I have a little boy so I can make him a costume like this one!

252_0623

Cute friend’s baby.  Cute friend knows how to get a good picture of her baby’s head in a cutout, unlike some of us . . .

We’re back there,  I promise!

It was after about this point in the night that Jaylie started crying, so we quickly walked past the rest of the Pumpkin Walk to our warm car!
